Somewhere between the journey and the destination — that's where you'll find us.
About Live Dine Travel
✍️ By Live Dine Travel 📅 Updated March 2026
Hi, we're [Pushpendu and Pamela] 👋
We're a couple who traded the routine for a life built around exploring new places, trying food we can't pronounce, and figuring out how to make travel work on a real budget. Live Dine Travel is where we share everything we've learned — honestly, practically, and without the Instagram gloss.
Our Story
It started with a one-way ticket to New Zealand. We'd been talking about "travelling properly" for years — the kind of trip where you actually slow down, eat where the locals eat, and stay long enough to feel like you know a place. Then one day we stopped talking and booked it.
That first trip broke every plan we had. The guesthouse flooded. We missed a bus. We got completely lost in a market and ended up having the best meal of our lives with a family who didn't share a single word of our language. We came home different.
Since then we've visited 10 countries and explored a lot. We started this blog because we kept being asked the same questions by friends who wanted to travel as a couple but didn't know where to begin.
What You'll Find Here
Everything on this site is written for couples — whether you're planning a honeymoon, a two-week holiday, or thinking seriously about a longer stretch of remote-working travel together.
🗺️ Destination Guides
Deep-dive guides built on personal experience. We cover transport, food, neighbourhoods, costs, and the details that don't make it onto most travel sites.
💑 Couples Travel Tips
From packing smart as a pair to navigating travel insurance, safety planning and splitting costs — practical advice written from the perspective of two people, not one.
💻 Digital Nomad Life
Thinking about working remotely as a couple? We cover the best cities, the visa reality, co-working setups and how to keep your relationship intact when home is everywhere.
🌿 Slow & Sustainable Travel
We believe in travelling in a way that's worth sustaining — for the planet, for local communities, and for your own sanity. Less rushing, more actually being somewhere.
Our Promise to You
Travel content online is full of beautiful photos and vague advice that doesn't help anyone book an actual trip. We try to do the opposite.
- We write from personal experience. If we recommend a bus route, a guesthouse style, or a travel insurance type — we've used it ourselves.
- We include real costs. Vague "budget-friendly" claims aren't useful. We give you actual numbers where we have them.
- We tell you what didn't work. The overrated attractions, the annoying logistics, the things we'd do differently. This is the stuff that actually saves you time.
- We don't do sponsored posts that we don't believe in. If we've worked with a brand, we say so. Our opinions stay our own.
- We update our content. Travel changes. We go back and revise guides rather than leaving outdated information up.
Where We've Been Writing About
Our content focuses on destinations we've spent meaningful time in rather than briefly visited. Right now that includes deep-dive coverage of Malta (including practical guides on getting around by bus, eating well on a budget, and exploring in winter), along with broader guides for couples on packing, safety, insurance, and choosing the right destinations for remote work.
We're constantly adding new destinations. Follow along on Instagram or Pinterest to see where we are.
Work With Us
We're open to working with travel brands, tourism boards, accommodation providers, and travel insurance or gear companies whose products we'd genuinely recommend to a close friend.
We offer:
- Sponsored article placements (clearly disclosed)
- Destination and accommodation partnerships
- Social media collaborations on Instagram and Pinterest
- Honest product reviews for travel gear, apps, and services
We don't work with brands whose products or services we wouldn't use ourselves. Please don't pitch us on payday loans, betting apps, or anything that's got nothing to do with travel.
